VEOHRC
The Victorian Equal Opportunity and Human Rights Commission (VEOHRC) exists to protect human rights in our home state. Since 1977, they have collaborated with the government, public sector, community organisations, and individuals to create a fairer and safer Victoria. Since 2018 JAC AND have worked in partnership with VEOHRC on projects of varying scale — from strategic brand development through to reports and publications.

GUIDING PRINCIPLES.
The Commission prioritise storytelling as a vehicle to help Victorians understand the importance of human rights to their work and lives. It’s vital to their mission that those stories are heard and land with impact. As part of a major brand overhaul, VEOHRC engaged JAC AND to develop robust guidelines around brand execution. We created and documented a system-based approach to type, colour, layout and imagery to ensure consistent outcomes across internal teams and suppliers.

A STRONG SYSTEM.
Reports, publications and factsheets are a major outcome of the Commission’s work. These life-changing artefacts must be engaging for the public and government alike. JAC AND worked with VEOHRC to create a series of highly technical templates with a clear hierarchy and exceeding accessibility standards. As an organisation that engages multiple contractors for design work, the detailed templates are structured in a way that makes them simple to use and impossible to break.

Our close partnership with VEOHRC enables us to maintain a stable and sustainable brand system through continuous review and refinement.
